In January Dave and I were called to be the Valiant teachers in our wards primary. We have 8 children in our class and have been having a blast both learning and teaching about the Doctrine and Covenants. We recently attended the baptism of one primary children. What a awesome experience it was. It was his birthday too. Dave and I felt so blessed to be apart of such a great day.
Cars
Dave's Camry finally got to a point that i said we can't spend anymore money on this car. We started car hunting and found a nice used 2001 Lexus ES 300. Dave has been loving and polishing his new "toy". I have been driving my parents 1981 Buick Skylark for about two years now. My Dodge neon is almost finished being fixed and should be coming"home" by summer. I missed my lil' car. I got stopped about two weeks ago in the Buick and told that i had to fixed the front window that has a large crack. So now I am not driving it unless I have to. We survived the winter in the Buick with no defrost or heat thanks to a portable heater you plug into the lighter. Thanks Harbor Freight! Best 12$ i have spent!
Graduate school!
I have been so busy and learning so many things. I love being in school and being able to gain a deeper understanding about being a teacher and an educator. I passed my Praxis 1 test in February and now I am gearing up to study and pass the Praxis 11. I have to have it passed by October of this year and so i have some time to study. Thank goodness!
I am currently taking a class on assessment and evaluation in which we have been writing assessments and rubrics. Its been a ton of work but fun when we can see how we assess can affect what we are teaching and what students are learning.
Dave and I are looking forward to spring and summer to get out and do some exploring of Utah! I hope to get over to the Manti pageant this year as I have never been. We hope to spend a few days here and there down in St. George I love it down there. Might even see if I can get a teaching job there next fall.
